What Are the Results of LASIK?

The aim of LASIK is to improve quality of life by improving unaided vision. In this regard the results of LASIK are generally excellent. More than 96 per cent of people no longer require glasses or contact lenses.

It is important to understand that no surgeon can guarantee perfect vision. The degree of improvement in vision varies from person to person. Those with higher degrees of refractive error have more chance of needing to wear glasses for some activities such as night driving. Those in the presbyopic age group will eventually need glasses for reading or near work.
