What Can I Expect at the follow up visits?
You will be reviewed by your surgeon the day after surgery and then as required. Follow-up visits are usually at about 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after the surgery. Eyedrops will be given as instructed by your surgeon. It is important that all scheduled appointments be kept. You must contact your surgeon if vision changes rapidly.

You should expect to have a mild degree of discomfort for the next day although it is often shorter than this. There is often some watering of the eye in the first 12 hours also.
Vision will not be clear immediately after the surgery but there will be considerable improvement within 24 hours. Most people have vision good enough to drive and work the following day. |
